A Personal Foundation

Hello, my name is Tabitha - and this is the beginning of how Samantha's Daughter got its name (IYKYK).  

  

My approach to care is rooted in both experience and intention.  

  

I am a registered nurse with a certification in wound care, where I've spent years working closely with the skin - 

supporting healing, observing patterns, and understanding how the body responds to both internal and external factors.  

In clinical settings, skin is never viewed in isolation. 

It reflects circulation, nutrition, stress, and overall health.  

 

Samantha's Daughter was created from that understanding - that care can be both informed and intuitive. That what we apply to the skin matters, and so does how we care for ourselves as a whole. 

Beyond the Surface 

Care does not begin at the surface. 

The skin often reflects what is happening within -  

How we nourish ourselves, how we rest, and how we move through our daily lives. 

This connection is something I came to understand more deeply through both experience and observation. 

And it is a perspective that continues to be supported in healthcare conversations.

Nutrition is not separate from skin care – it is part of it. 

Whole foods, balanced meals, and simple ingredients can support the body in ways that are often reflected outwardly over time.  ​

This does not require complexity. 

It begins with small, consistent choices.

A simple ritual for warmth and reset

There is something grounding about beginning with warmth.

A cup held between your hands.

Steam rising slowly.

A moment that asks nothing of you except to pause. 

Lemon and ginger come together in a way that feels both familiar and supportive - bright, warming and easy to return to.

What you'll need

  • Fresh ginger, sliced

  • Half a lemon

  • Warm water

  • Honey

The Ritual

Add sliced ginger to warm water and allow it to steep for several minutes.

Squeeze in fresh lemon.

Drizzle honey.

There is no need to rush this step.

Let it sit. Let it develop.

Sip slowly.
